Everyone is always asking what I do keep my skin so flawless, so here you go. Below are all the products I use, why I use them, when to use them and where to buy them. Remember some of these products are prescription so make sure you speak to your dermatologist or esthetician before using. Most of these products I have been on for over 10 years. I found what works and byyyyy golly I stuck with it.
Morning Routine
- Wash Face with Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser
- Apply light layer of Sulfacetamide Sodium Topical Suspension USP 10% (lotion).
- This will need to be prescribed by a doctor.
- Apply light layer of Zo Medical by Zein Obagi, MD Brightenex.
- This is a skin brightening and correcting crème. Go easy with it because it will make your skin peel.
- I alternate using this a couple days a week. Especially if I notice my skin is dry.
- Apply light layer of Zo Medical by Zein Obagi, MD Ossential Daily Power Defense Anti Aging Formula
- I use this as my moisturizer and if your skin is not super dry you might not need to use this and Brightenex together.
- Apply sunscreen if your makeup does not have at least 30 SPF in it.
- I wear sunscreen like it is going out of style. Even if you are not going to be “in the sun” that day…wear it. Most of the suns damage we encounter happens just walking to and from our car daily.
Nightly Routine
- Use Neutrogena facial wipes or similar brand.
- Wash face with Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser
- Apply light layer of Differing Gel 0.3%
- Must be prescribed by doctor
Every 6 months I use a bleaching cream to help even out my skin tone. The best one I have used yet is Zo Medical by Zein Obagi MD, Melamin Skin Bleaching and Correcting Crème. IT is incredible and must be purchased through a dermatologist. It works great with fixing skin discoloration from scars. I also use it on a tattoo I had removed to even out the skin tone.
More helpful tips to keep your skin clear
- DO NOT EVER under any circumstances pick at your skin…. just don’t. If you are prone to acne or black heads leave the extractions to the experts.
- If you are in the Central Florida area I highly recommend visiting Dr. Sharon Stokes and Aurora in the medical spa for all facials. If you live in the Tampa Bay area I use Dana Hess at South Tampa Dermatology and Lorenda Holden. Their contact information is below.
- Facials at least once every six weeks.
- DO NOT touch your face. Start to become conscious of how often you touch your face and stop. Our hands are filled with germs and random crap that can irritate the very sensitive skin on our face.
- Vi-peel is a godsend. I no longer have these peels done because my skin is so sensitive now…due to the overload of products I use. I did a Vi-peel when I was first starting this journey to clear skin 10 years ago.
